Framed suzani, off-white

This framed modern suzani brings colour and individuality to your home. It is a "modern" suzani, meaning it was made in the last few decades but using centuries-old techniques. Hand-embroidered by a skilled artisan in rural Uzbekistan, with intricate silk stitching on handwoven silk fabric, hand-dyed in Turkey. A suzani of this size typically takes about 3 weeks for an artisan to complete, and each piece is unique - no two suzanis are exactly alike. 

The suzani fabric is first mounted onto heavyweight, 100% linen for structural integrity, then set within a bespoke oak tray frame handcrafted by our framers in Bristol, UK. 

The result is gallery-quality wall art that combines traditional Uzbek craftsmanship with contemporary presentation. Ready to hang and designed to endure.

• Silk embroidery thread on silk fabric, mounted on 100% heavyweight linen
• Approximately 48.5cm (width) x 62.5cm (length) x 4.5cm (depth) 
  • (note: sizing may vary by a few cm between similar size suzanis - do make sure to check the dimensions if you are buying multiple)
• Corded and ready for wall hanging (orientation can easily be changed with basic hand tools)
  

Delivery & Care:

• Please note that in-stock products will be shipped within 3 business days unless otherwise communicated. 
• Use a soft, dry cloth to remove any dust from the fabric and frame; do not use water or any cleaning products. Hang in a shaded area away from excess moisture. See my FAQs page for further care info.
