Large framed antique suzani, pastel colours

This large framed antique suzani is just one of those pieces that ties everything in a room together. It has the prettiest pastel colours - pinks, purples, browns and light green - paired with charming red and blue patchwork detail along the top and bottom.

Likely made in the late 19th or early 20th century, she is in excellent condition for her age and features impeccable stitching (and unusual use of the couching embroidery stitch). The patchwork detail was added at a later date.

The suzani fabric is first carefully mounted onto heavyweight, 100% linen for structural integrity, then set within a bespoke oak tray frame handcrafted by our framers in Bristol, UK. Ready to hang and designed to endure.

And she's the perfect size for hanging above a bed!

• Silk embroidery thread on linen fabric (patchwork is cotton), mounted on 100% heavyweight linen 
• Approximately 116.5cm (width) x 77cm (height) x 4.5cm (depth) 
• D-ring hanging fixtures added and ready for wall hanging (orientation can easily be changed with basic hand tools)
  
• Excellent antique condition
