Pair of framed antique suzanis

An exceptional pair of framed antique suzanis made from a border fragment of a 19th-century Uzbek suzani textile. The level of detail and colours on these suzanis is super special, featuring lovely vines in teal, large floral medallions in red, yellow and blue, and pomegranates and chilli peppers in orange and pink. 

The suzani fabric is first carefully mounted onto sage green linen for structural integrity, then set within a bespoke oak tray frame handcrafted by our framers in Bristol, UK. Ready to hang and designed to endure.

Details: 

• Silk embroidery thread on linen fabric, mounted on 100% heavyweight linen
• Each frame approximately 34cm (width) x 68cm (height) x 4.5cm (depth) 
• Corded and ready for wall hanging (orientation can easily be changed with basic hand tools)
  
• Excellent antique condition; however, please note there are some minor stains as shown in the photos

• Please note that in-stock products will be shipped within 3 business days unless otherwise communicated. 
  
• Use a soft, dry cloth to remove any dust from the fabric and frame; do not use water or any cleaning products. Hang in a shaded area away from excess moisture. See my FAQs page for further care info.
