Pair of framed antique suzanis, pastel colours

This pair of framed antique suzanis was made from a fabulous fragment of an early 20th-century (around the 1920s) suzani textile from the Silk Road city of Bukhara, Uzbekistan. 

I love these suzanis for their design, which features a mixture of floral and zoomorphic motifs, as well as their beautiful and rare pastel colour palette, with a mix of greens, blues, peach, pink, and yellow, with black outlining.

The suzani fabric is first carefully mounted onto light blue linen, then set within a bespoke oak tray frame handcrafted by our framers in Bristol, UK. Ready to hang and designed to endure.

Details: 

• Silk embroidery thread on linen fabric, mounted on 100% heavyweight linen
• Each oak frame approximately 32.5 cm (width) x 94.5 cm (height) x 4.5 cm (depth) 
• Ready for wall hanging with D-rings (orientation can easily be changed with basic hand tools)
  
• Excellent antique condition; however, please note there is some minor staining and small tears, as shown in the photos

• Please note that in-stock products will be shipped within 3 business days unless otherwise communicated. 
  
• Use a soft, dry cloth to remove any dust from the fabric and frame; do not use water or any cleaning products. Hang in a shaded area away from excess moisture. See my FAQs page for further care info.
