Vintage suzani, extra large

This XL-sized, vintage suzani from Uzbekistan is a real showstopper. I love how this suzani has been signed by the artist and dated to the year it was made - 1979. 

Vintage suzanis from this era, especially in certain colourways such as this one, are becoming increasingly harder to find and more valuable. 

It features a lovely ivory background with pink, teal, and gold stitching. Given its size, it would make an excellent bedspread or throw to drape over the back of a sofa. Alternatively, it would make great upholstery fabric for an ottoman.

• Cotton embroidery thread on cotton fabric
• Approximately 148cm (width) x 276cm (length)
  
• Some wear and tear, but generally in great vintage condition
