Some of my favourite ways to add unique textiles to modern interiors...
Why did I start Suze Studio?
I've always been drawn to homes that feel collected rather than just decorated. The spaces I love most aren't necessarily the most expensive or perfectly designed. They're layered, personal and full of pieces that tell a story about the people who live there. I didn't grow up in one of these homes, but instead have built one for myself, slowly, by gathering objects and things that inspired me from my travels and the past decade I've spent living abroad.
That's what first drew me to suzanis, which are incredibly beautiful and story-laden embroidered textiles made by women in Central Asia. For me, textiles do something that traditional wall art often can't, bringing texture, warmth, and a sense of history into a room. When (beautifully) framed, they become focal points that transform a room's atmosphere.
Suze Studio exists because I wanted to make those pieces easier to find.
